We have pupils in our schools who have experienced toxic stress and have faulty neuroception. We need to be resourced up with interventions which calm and soothe minds and bodies.
Felt safety is needed in order to optimise the social engagement system and to take the risks required in learning.
Let’s honour how bodies and minds function best and ensure our schools are places whose policies and practices reflect the latest research in neuroscience.
